Dining at Mt. Chase Lodge

At Mt Chase Lodge, we believe that eating well means living well.  Because of this, our days are dedicated to giving our guests the freshest possible dining experience, with special attention paid to your unique dietary needs.

Dinners are served to our private guests Tuesday through Saturday evenings.

We are also delighted to offer public dining by reservation, on Friday and Saturday nights.

Dining Menu

Friday, January 27th

Sky High Lasagna

Local ground meat browned down to make a solid base for our homemade sauce that intensifies as it bakes between layers of delicately salted egg noodles, soaking up the flavors of the hearty beef, tomatoes and melty cheeses. A creamy béchamel pulls it all together and evenly distributes the flavors across your palate. You could be lucky enough to score a corner piece and a few of the coveted crunchy bits! May the odds be ever in your favor.

Saturday, January 28th

Your Choice of

Pan Seared Salmon

Our secret recipe lemon dill sauce, a tart tingle for your tastebuds, drizzled onto faultless and flaky pan seared salmon.

– or –

Rib Eye Steaks

Rich steaks rubbed and sizzled to create that crucial crust which seals in the juices and provides a tender, melt-in-your mouth bite each time, with crowned melted, creamy butter.

Sides & Deserts

Examples of sides & desserts served with our entrees

Immaculately steamed wild rice as well as a comforting blend of roasted winter vegetables.

Triple Chocolate Mousse Tart-decadent, airy mousse with a dark side-a hat trick of chocolate checked by our signature Chocolate Whipped Cream, all on a crunchy chocolate base, finished with a generous drizzle of rich, sweet caramel sauce.

Dining by Reservation

Enjoy small private tables with a laid-back atmosphere. Let us serve you your favorite drink by the fire and pamper you with a three-course meal cooked to perfection every single time. Meals are served at 6 PM on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Dining is a personal experience and we want you to feel good about every aspect of your time spent with us. Expect a phone call from us before your scheduled meal. We want to know your likes, dislikes, allergies, and preferences to ensure we give you the best experience possible. We are happy to cater to dietary restrictions and allergies as long as we have advanced notice.

Because space is limited, we can only accommodate a few parties each night. Call us with your reservation request as soon as you possible and we will confirm with you about one week in advance as we schedule and plan our meal services. We have space for small groups of 2-10 people. Larger groups are encouraged to reserve as early as possible.

For reservation requests or questions, please call us at 207-528-2183 or email at info@mtchaselodge.com

Lodging Guest Dining

Guests are welcome to dine with us at our private tables in the dining room or on the porch. If you decide that you are more comfortable taking your meals to your cabin or suite, or you think that you may not make it back from your adventures in time for our prompt 6 o’clock seating, please let us know in advance and we will have your meals wrapped up, placed in an insulated bag and ready for you to take at 6:30.

Breakfast

Our piping hot breakfasts, as always, are fresh off the skillet and will continue to be served at no cost to guests who are registered in the lodge suites, seven days a week. Cabin guests are also welcome to join for breakfast at an additional charge!

Upon check-in, your bright and cheery host will go over the breakfast menu with you. Each day is different here in the lodge, so you will get to enjoy something new every morning that you are here!

For example, on Fridays, we offer our sustaining Kenai Fjords Baked Oatmeal, which is one that returning guests cannot wait to order. It’s loaded with oats, a splash of buttermilk, whipped eggs, heart healthy coconut oil, crisp apples, craisins and assorted nuts, then sweetened with locally harvested Maine maple syrup and brown sugar- all baked to perfection, fueling your internal furnace for your day’s expeditions.

Bottomless Carrabassett Coffee from the most current roasts at Mainely Tea and Coffee in Millinocket as well as orange juice will also be available.
