Dining at Mt. Chase Lodge

At Mt Chase Lodge, we believe that eating well means living well.  Because of this, our days are dedicated to giving our guests the freshest possible dining experience, with special attention paid to your unique dietary needs.

Dinners are served to our private guests Tuesday through Saturday evenings.

We are also delighted to offer public dining by reservation, on Friday and Saturday nights.

Dining Menu

Friday, February 17th

Oatmeal Maple Wheat Bread

Famous in our region for his varieties of bread, Mike creates this down to earth, hand made and fresh baked bread just before it is served to you, wrapped up in a basket and ready for a chunky pat of butter.

Your Choice of

Lemon Pepper Crispy Chicken Legs

Battered and baked, this familiar dish is crisped up with lemon pepper, adding a delightful zing to your palate.

– or –

Spinach & Goat Cheese Stuffed Salmon

Local goat cheese and fresh spinach gently folded together and stuffed into salmon fillets, then baked to melt-in-your-mouth flakiness.

Carrot Risotto

This velvety side of arborio rice, cheese and caramelized carrots is a classic. Bold enough to stand alone, yet elegant enough to accompany the main star, each creamy bite invites you to slow down and reflect on your day.

Roasted Asparagus

Tossed with a light drizzle of olive oil, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper,  simple ingredients come together to create a luxurious taste of green freshness.

Chocolate Souffle

Light and airy on the outside, and creamy on the inside, it is rich with chocolate flavor and will almost melt in your mouth as you eat it. Served individually and piping hot, straight from the oven, you may find yourself wishing you could crawl into bed and lay your head on this dark pillow of heaven.

Saturday, February 18th

Mike’s Famous Bread

Roasted red pepper and smoked gouda soup
with a cheese crouton

Your Choice of

Crumb Topped Haddock

Haddock swims three times, once in the water, then in butter and wine.  With a splash of lemon and topped with buttered crumbs… baked to perfection!   Served with garlicky green beans.

– or –

Beef Tips Demi-Glace

Slow-roasted beef in a red wine sauce.  Served with scalloped potatoes and garlicky green beans

Deserts

Key Lime Pie

-or-

Meyer Lemon Cheesecake

Dining by Reservation

Enjoy small private tables with a laid-back atmosphere. Let us serve you your favorite drink by the fire and pamper you with a three-course meal cooked to perfection every single time. Meals are served at 6 PM on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Dining is a personal experience and we want you to feel good about every aspect of your time spent with us. Expect a phone call from us before your scheduled meal. We want to know your likes, dislikes, allergies, and preferences to ensure we give you the best experience possible. We are happy to cater to dietary restrictions and allergies as long as we have advanced notice.

Because space is limited, we can only accommodate a few parties each night. Call us with your reservation request as soon as you possible and we will confirm with you about one week in advance as we schedule and plan our meal services. We have space for small groups of 2-10 people. Larger groups are encouraged to reserve as early as possible.

For reservation requests or questions, please call us at 207-528-2183 or email at info@mtchaselodge.com

Lodging Guest Dining

Guests are welcome to dine with us at our private tables in the dining room or on the porch. If you decide that you are more comfortable taking your meals to your cabin or suite, or you think that you may not make it back from your adventures in time for our prompt 6 o’clock seating, please let us know in advance and we will have your meals wrapped up, placed in an insulated bag and ready for you to take at 6:30.

Breakfast

Our piping hot breakfasts, as always, are fresh off the skillet and will continue to be served at no cost to guests who are registered in the lodge suites, seven days a week. Cabin guests are also welcome to join for breakfast at an additional charge!

Upon check-in, your bright and cheery host will go over the breakfast menu with you. Each day is different here in the lodge, so you will get to enjoy something new every morning that you are here!

For example, on Fridays, we offer our sustaining Kenai Fjords Baked Oatmeal, which is one that returning guests cannot wait to order. It’s loaded with oats, a splash of buttermilk, whipped eggs, heart healthy coconut oil, crisp apples, craisins and assorted nuts, then sweetened with locally harvested Maine maple syrup and brown sugar- all baked to perfection, fueling your internal furnace for your day’s expeditions.

Bottomless Carrabassett Coffee from the most current roasts at Mainely Tea and Coffee in Millinocket as well as orange juice will also be available.
