This summer, we’re offering two unforgettable ways to explore the wild: one by motorized canoe for a wider range and relaxed ride, and one by traditional paddle for those seeking a quieter, hands-on connection to nature.

Start your adventure before sunrise and let us take you farther into the backwoods in our custom motorized Hudson Bay Scott Canoe. It's the perfect fit for families, photographers, and anyone who wants to experience Maine’s wildlife without breaking a sweat.
Tour Start: 4:30 AM at Mt. Chase Lodge
Duration: ~4 to 5 hours (return by 9–10 AM)
Group Size: Private only (max. 4, call for larger groups)
Included: Life jackets, guide service, coffee & snacks
Your guide knows just where to go to find moose, eagles, beavers, and more. Sit back, sip your coffee, and get your camera ready—this is Maine, unfiltered.

Leave the engine behind and let the stillness speak. This peaceful, motor-free option is perfect for anyone who wants to paddle at a gentle pace and soak in the sights and sounds of the Maine woods. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned paddler, your guide will tailor the trip to your comfort level.

Meeting Point
All tours begin at Mt. Chase Lodge, nestled on the shore of Upper Shin Pond. Your guide will meet you at the lodge, and after a brief introduction, your adventure begins! Just set your alarm, and we’ll handle the rest.

Moose and other critters are wild animals, and while sightings are common, they aren’t guaranteed. What is guaranteed? A memorable, safe, and deeply personal experience in one of the wildest corners of Maine.
